Not only do they have to provide reliable protection against water, dirt, and dust, they also have to compensate for vibrations, withstand temperature fluctuations, and remain dimensionally stable for years. Materials in the field of vehicle construction
- PVC: A proven material that is cost-effective, stable, and weather-resistant. Particularly suitable for applications with consistent requirements.
- TPE (standard 60 ShA): High elasticity, good resilience, and resistance to UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. Ideal for a wide range of applications in vehicle construction.
- Silicone (60 ShA, talc-coated or non-talc-coated): For extreme temperature ranges and long-lasting applications. Silicone remains permanently elastic, even in extreme heat or cold.
Talc-coated means that the surface has been treated with fine talcum powder. This reduces surface adhesion, facilitates assembly, and prevents the profiles from sticking together during installation.
Design features and models
Many of our vehicle construction profiles are equipped with a metal core, which ensures a secure hold and high stability – even with frequent installation and removal or strong vibrations. In addition, variants with pull-out bars are available, which facilitate installation and ensure a particularly secure connection.
The profiles cover various clamping ranges – depending on requirements, from 1–2 mm to 2–4 mm and 2.5–4 mm to flexible spans such as 1–4 mm or 1–3.5 mm. This allows a wide variety of material thicknesses to be reliably fixed in place.
A particular advantage in the vehicle construction range: many of our seals are coordinated with each other. For example, there are matching filler profiles for clamping profiles, which are linked directly in the item description. There you will find, for example, the note “Matching filler profile: ADTP-XXXX”. This means you can be sure that the clamping and filler profiles fit together perfectly and form a functional overall solution.

Installation & maintenance
Seals are usually installed in vehicle construction by simply attaching them to the respective edge. Profiles with a metal core ensure a secure hold even under vibration or high loads. Regular inspection and cleaning extend the service life and ensure a lasting seal.
